The series was originally published in English by Bloomsbury in the United Kingdom and Scholastic Press in the United States. The main story arc concerns Harry's conflict with Lord Voldemort, a dark wizard who intends to become immortal, overthrow the wizard governing body known as the Ministry of Magic, and subjugate all wizards and Muggles (non-magical people). The novels chronicle the lives of a young wizard, Harry Potter, and his friends Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley, all of whom are students at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. There are 25 cartoons all new to Blu-Ray and DVD, covering the 1930s to 1960s. Per the Extras podcast and Facebook, we released info for Volume 3. Punch Trunk and Riff Raffy Daffy were released on DVD Previously It was released on Golden Collection Volume Five restored, and this series is covering shorts that weren't released on DVD restored or at all. The Iceman Ducketh (also on DVD but cropped into widescreen)įive of those I could definitely see being on later Volumes, but I'm not sure about the other six The Goofy Gophers (only a cameo, but still.) I believe these are now the eleven Bugs shorts not on physical media restored or at all: I'm thrilled about this selection especially Elmer's Pet Rabbit, Mexican Joyride, Cinderella Meets Fella, Egghead Rides Again, and China Jones! I do find it interesting that there are four Bugs Bunny shorts though, I was honestly expecting that they would release only two per volume to keep the unreleased Bugs shorts stretched out for as many volumes as they could as the first two Volumes had two each.
